American Fork Idol

American Fork 3rd ward just had their annual American Fork Idol Lip Sync. The youth get into groups and perform a lip sync to their favorite song. This year we had Queen - Somebody To Love, Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby, Bruno Mars - Grenade and several others. I played the role of Ryan Seacrest and did a much better job - LOL! We had some leaders play their roles of Steven Tyler, J-Lo, Randy Jackson and even though she is not with the show we had our very own Paula Abdul. They nailed their roles right on the head. In fact that is why we had Paula back this year, she was so good at playing Paula we invited her back.

Got a lip sync coming up - Ablaze Entertainment will make it better then Idol...check out DJonFIRE.com for pictures and video of the night (coming soon).

Lindon 14th Ward

So Lindon 14th ward and another ward from Salt Lake got together for a small youth conference type of event. They wanted to have some dance lessons during the night so let the teaching begin. We started at 8:30 and began with West Coast Swing. We spent about 35 minutes teaching it and the youth loved it. We were going to teach other dances, but we thought the retention of one would be better. Most of the songs I played that night just happened to allow for the West Coast. You should have seen the youth out there doing West Coast to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.

Insane night of music and cold. The event was up at Aspen Grove and it was bitter. The roads were barely plowed, but the snow was higher than the truck. There were icicles that I could not get my hands around - HUGE!

If you need lessons at your dance call ABLAZE ENTERTAINMENT at 801-380-7957 or checkus out at DJonFIRE.com

New Years Eve 2011

So this NEW YEAR'S EVE I was asked to DJ and young adult dance right here in American Fork. It was set to be a regional dance with people coming all the way from Salt Lake if they wanted to. Let's just say that we have quite a few from up north and down below. There were well over 500 packed into that gym. The music was jamming all night. I had a HUGE light show going on, thanks to my buddy Brady. In fact, we were pulling so many amps with the light show and fog that we actually blew the fuses twice during the night. It was pitch black in there but do you think any one cared? I didn't...the music and dancing played on and on.

The countdown was initiated and at MIDNIGHT - IT GOT LOUD! Darude - Sandstorm was played and the we continued to jam. What a night to remember.

This summer they asked me to come back and spin their Summer Party and with the reviews this dance got, I know this one will be even BIGGER! Hope to see you there.

If you have a giig that needs the best DJ - Call Stretch at 801-380-7957 or chack out DJonFIRE.com
